more festival pics...

This blog entry is just a few more pictures from the festival ~ it involved over 400 volunteers, adults, teens and some even younger...enjoy your quick view of the festival! (It will help if you click on each picture to see an enlarged version)!

(a very creative banner announcing the festival)

(my hubby working with one of the wonderful teens that volunteered the entire day, they helped children create wooden Bluebird houses. This picture shows the two guys preparing the kits for the opening of the festival)

(seven teams cooked homemade apple butter and sold it, this part of the festival began at 3:00 a.m., it is a full day project)

(this is one food stand, there were at least six different stands offering different menus, and very busy for lunch and supper)

(pumpkin painting was one of the crafts offered, and the pumpkins are lined up and drying before the children carried them away, there were fifty pumpkins, and they were gone by lunch time, we needed more)

The festival is a community event, if folks didn't work in a booth they came to take part in the events, thank you to Kelsey's family for this day of events in honor of Kelsey and the Kids with Cancer events!
