a day to volunteer...

Many of my blog readers have read about the Kelsey's Dream organization and the fact that Mickey (granddaughter) and I often volunteer to help with their many projects. It is a local organization that is growing with the support of folks from our county and the much appreciated support of the small businesses in the area! This past Saturday was "Festival Day" for the organization!

If you refer to my sidebar or the blog by Mickey you can see the quilt that she designed and made for donation last year...the quilt was raffled and raised $2500.00 which was donated to the Kelsey's Dream Organization. This is also noted on the website for Kelsey's Dream! This year Mickey could not squeeze making a quilt into her schedule so she volunteered "time and service" at the festival on Saturday...and headed off in the evening to march with the high school band for the homecoming parade and game!! Busy girl is what ♥Mickey♥ is these days!
