Lily of the Valley, these flowers are so tiny and so fragrant for their size. When we had to give up our original home for the *road project* we made an effort to bring memories from the old house to the new house! These tiny and gentle flowers are part of what we salvaged, and they multiply beautifully!
Anything that was part of the actual house structure that we hoped to salvage we were required to BUY, and the price was determined by the state! Makes you wonder about this strategy when the bulldozer arrived to destroy the house! We followed the rules, we selected and paid for things we held as good memories, such as the beautiful stained walnut stair banister, and the antique barn beam that was the fireplace mantel, we had scrimped and saved to install new carpet in the livingroom and we purchased it again from the state :<(!! Something felt wrong when the state allowed that folks could go into the house and TAKE things that remained! But you know what (?) we did it the legal way, we paid the price and our conscience is clear!

I love your primitive planter, and my lily of the valley is blooming too. It always amazes me at the amount of scent it puts out.
The girls used to always pick me bouquets and one little bouquet would smell up the whole house.
You are a better person than me about the deal with your house--I would have been bitter. But that is one of my major shortcomings.
NEAT planter! And love love love the lilies of the valley! i need to get some from mom and dad's house next time i'm there.

My wife has a bunch of those. The only problem is that they try to take over everything. She was out there yesterday pulling up a bunch of them. However, I do think they're pretty.
