Friday morning the telephone rang with the news that school was closed for students and staff because of the high winds and blowing snow...it was suspected that this would need to happen, so the call was not a big surprise!The best part of having the day home from the school office on Friday was the second telephone call, this one from granddaughter/sewing buddy Mickey asking if it would be alright for her to come to my house to sew! OH YES a snow day that became a winner in my book! I love it when Mickey can come to sew, she is fun and creative!
Because school was cancelled meant her musical practice was postponed until Saturday...yep Mickey went to school on Saturday for the musical practice that was missed on Friday evening! The HS musical, *West Side Story* will be performed in just a few weeks and the weather has really been causing some problems for rehearsals!

Two treats from the weather! How great is that? I hope you gals had some fun sewing it up! While it seems that the rest of North America has been buried in snow this winter, here in Northern Ontario it has been really mild. Our snow is sort of melting (though I doubt it is going anywhere soon!) Hope you had a fabulous weekend and here's to having a wonderful week! Happy Monday!
