concerts with the grands...

We traveled to the university today to hear an *awesome* concert presented by the *Wind Ensemble* of the university! Each of the members of the Ensemble are very talented with their instruments, put them all together and WOW! Two of them are part of *our* family, the two oldest grandsons (brothers attending the same university), very musical (vocal and instrumental), and in my humble opinion ;-) two of the best guys, and hopefully they know ~ how PROUD we are of them and how much they are LOVED!! AMAZING CONCERT TODAY GUYS!

And also the two youngest grandchildren had their school band concert earlier in the week, brother and sister are part of the middle school band and choir, and that was also an excellent concert! It was interesting to hear the difference in the style of music with each of the grade levels...beginning with 5th grade thru 8th grade...and the Jazz Band (combination of instrument players from the 6th thru 8th grade) which seems to be a favorite EVERY YEAR! Hopefully these two grandchildren also know how much they are LOVED and the PRIDE we feel for them!

I would be lacking in "giving credit where credit is due" if I failed to show you a picture of *sweet granddaughter* receiving the "Outstanding Instrumentalist Award"! This is an award given annually to one band student by the band director, a total surprise announcement at the Spring Concert each year. She plays three instruments in the band and Jazz Band *Saxaphone, Baritone Saxaphone, and the Bassoon* and this is also my *quilting buddy*!! Just in case you are wondering *how I was able to take this picture* the answer is "I didn't" The tears began to flow when her name was announced and the picture was quickly taken by my hubby! THANK YOU HONEY FOR SAVING THE KODAK MOMENT!

LOVE FOR MY GRANDCHILDREN ~ THE FOUR ARE A BLESSING FROM GOD!
