On Christmas Day the families received the projects without the final finish work (as shown in my blog entry about Christmas) because we wanted them to make the choice of the finish on their projects. They did not know what the project would be until Christmas, but I am pretty sure they knew there would be something handmade by their Dad, and it would involve something from the previous house.
(a coffee table for our son, and the finish is red mahogany, picture taken outside for better lighting then the workshop allows)
(the coffee table in place at their home, their house is a beautiful victorian, and their furnishings are on the formal side in their living room)
(cupboard for our daughter and family, again the picture taken outside for better lighting)
(another view of the cupboard, our daughter has her house furnished in the primitive style, and all things primitive is the way to go for them, comfortable and creative is how she likes her furnishings)
Merry Christmas again to our children and their families ~ it is always fun to create your special surprise projects! Hmmmmm will we run out of ideas first or the remnents of wood to create the special Christmas surprise each year?

What wonderful gifts for your family to treasure for a long, long time.
I have been checking regularly to see what the gift(s) were this year. They are wonderful.
Nice!
I highly doubt you will run out of ideas before you run out of wood! lol There are so many things you have and can make!
Great job!
