This is the weekend of the Susquehanna Valley Band Concert, but the weather just might change the plans of many talented musicians and directors. The SVB is a music event that is auditioned into and a desired achievement by many high school musicians. This is the starting position for band members to audition their way to districts, regionals and states concerts, they practice for a few weeks individually at their respective high schools, and then spend only two days in practice as an actual complete group involving over 100 band members. This is an exciting experience for all of these talented instrumentalists, the time together, the time spent learning new techniques and the ultimate climax with a concert for the public in an auditorium of a host high school. Lots of work and planning for many people!
Sweet granddaughter ♥ Mickey ♥ has continued in the family honor of auditioning into this SVB event as did her two cousins (♥ our two grandsons ♥) in previous years! Hubby and I had hoped to attend the concert tomorrow evening, however the WEATHER may have other plans. It is predicted that we could have as much as 10 inches of snow, beginning early in the morning tomorrow and continuing into Sunday morning!
The question being WILL WE ATTEND A CONCERT or WILL WE BE HOME WATCHING A MOVIE ON THE TV (?)........time will tell, it is a "maybe"!

I hope it waits till after the concert to snow! Then you can come home afterward and watch an old movie!

If you can't make it to the concert, perhaps someone can record it for you to watch another time. It's not quite the same as being there live, but it's better than missing it altogether.
Stay safe, Barb, whatever you do. It's already started to snow up here in north-central PA and we're supposed to get up to 10 inches or so (on top of what is already on the ground).
